Fjällräven nostalgia
My first Greenland jacket

Me in my new Fjällräven jacket on Varvsberget in Örnsköldsvik. 1976
At Christmas 1976, I was in the Fjällrävens' home town Örnsköldsvik. My husband and I celebrated Christmas in the house of my parents in law. Then my husband gave me a Fjällräven Greenland jacket for Christmas.
Me on a walk by the Ume river.
My husband and I in the Tärnaby mountains 1977. We hiked and  lived in a tent in the wilderness in a week. We had our Greenland jacket and Greenland trousers. The G-1000 fabric of our jackets and trousers was protecting against mosquitoes.
I had this blue backpack. I was very good for my back.
I still have the backpack. A little dirty but still working.
My husband had this green backpack.
There is clean water in the mountains. We drank a lot of water.
Me in the woodland in the mountains.
Me walking in the woods on snow shoes.
A little break. We used the Fjällräven backpack for day trips too.
Me with my snow shoes.
I bought this Fjällräven cap. I still have it.
Me on snowshoes in my Greenland jacket and with my new hat.
On the waking bridge over Lögde River.
My husband and I in Ångermanland.
We bought a folding kayak.  Named Klepper Aerius II. This is a solid kayak and can't overturn so easy. There is an inflatable tube inside the kayak.
After be out canoeing we had a wonderful time by the fire. Our friends took the pictures of us.
Me husband and me in the kayak. Our friends took the picture. Here we ha not our life vests on. We only were in the kayak a short while to get the picture taken. The lake was not deep here. This kayak could go on shallow places.
We always had our life vest on when we were out in the kayak.  Me alone in the kayak. My husband took the picture.
Going on land. I took off me life vest.
Here we were out on the Ume River. It was so peaceful here.
The sunset over the Ume River was beautiful.
Me walking in the woods.
We did orientation in the woods. But you did not need to do this fast or do it as a competition. You could go and find these checkpoints whenever you had time. The meaning with this orientation was to get exercising and have fun out in nature.
Me feeding a rabbit.
Me petting a horse.
Drinking black coffee from the coffee kettle on the open fire and grilling hot dogs in the Vilhelmina mountains.
Me in the Ammarnäs mountains. On top of the world!
Me drinking water from the Vindel River in the valley of the Ammarnäs mountains.
Me in autumn in the Ammarnäs mountains. Time for dinner.
My husband and I by the lake Tjulträsk, Ammarnäs.
My husband and I in the Ammarnäs mountains.
Me by our tent in the Saxnäs mountains. The cottage was not public and closed. But we could cook on the veranda so we did not need to stand in the rain.
Me by the road that goes over the Stekenjokk mountains.
In Holland by a canal.
Me in "National park De Hoge Veluwe" in Holland.

In the woods near campus they had a pasture with reindeer. Nowadays they have no reindeer there anymore.
I often went there looking at them.

Me at the Arctic Cricle.
Me in Holland by a street organ.
1979. I was pregnant, but still walking.
We got a son and I was out in the woods with him in the pram.
Later he followed us on a walk in the woods and we also pulled him in a pulka.
Here we were on our way to the ducks.
When he was 7 years old he got a Fjällräven Greenland jacket for his birthday. He was so happy for the jacket.
Our son picking berries in the woods. How I love this picture.
I had so many outdoor adventures in my old Greenland jacket. And I had it in many years.

My jacket was worn out and I have mend it several times. I saved the jacket, because of all the wonderful memories. This jacket is a treasure for me.
The logo on my old jacket and the logo on the new  jacket that I bought in 2011.
