A walk by the river to The Moss garden

2014-08-23

Our town made a Japanese moss garden by the river.
The Mossgarden of friendship was for the town Komatsu City in Japan. This garden was very special. I wanted to go there.
I had to take the bus to town and then cross the old bridge.
Now I was on the other side of the river.
I first had to pass some houses in a street, after this I came to a park.
I walked down to the river through the park.
Now I walked on the other side of the river. I normally use to walk on the side you see on the picture.
I never had been here before.
A big rowan.
The path I use to walk on the other side.
Now the path was going into the woods.
But these woods were near the river.
I crossed this bridge and came on an island named Bölesholmarna.
Started searching for The Mossgarden.
But I did not find The Mossgarden.
Here I could see the river from the island. Then I saw The Mossgarden was not on the island. It was on the land side by the river.
I walked back over the bridge.
I found The Mossgarden. They had decoratet the garden by hanging CD's in the trees.
Down below pictures of the details in The Mossgarden.

There were still some fire weeds in bloom.
It was so peaceful by the river. So silent.
.
.
But then it sounded "SPLAT!" There was fish jumping in the river. Probably a salmon. But I only got the rings on the water on the picture.
After that I heard honking in the distance. A flock of Canada geese.
They came closer.....
....and closer. And the honking was louder, and louder.
About 40 geese were flying low over me loudly honking. It was a great experience!

I got one of them on a picture.

One goose was landing on the water near me. It was like he wanted to say goodbye to me before he moved.
After that he flew away with another goose.
It was silent again by the mossgarden.
I had to call Ove that I should be delayed because I saw the geese. But now it was time to walk back to town.
I walked back by the river.
Then I saw that the geese, who were flying over me, had land near the other side of the river.
I met a woman on the path and we both were enjoying the geese.
.
This goose was beautiful. After a while all geese flew away.

I still was together with the woman on the path. We went amazed when we saw a man swimming in the river.

A man I met on the old bridge, who was arranging this, told me there was a swimming competition. There were more swimmers in the river. They were very good swimmers. You must be a very good swimmer if you want to swim in the river. I recommend not to do this if  you are not used to swim so much.
I came to the park again.
Roses in a garden near the park.
There was also a playground in the park.
.
A garden.
This district of town is called "Teg".
Now I crossed the old bridge.
A view from the bridge of the island there I walked over the red bridge.  Telephoto lens.
Normal lens. Here you can see the island is rather far from the old bridge.
A house at Teg.
I use to walk often on the path you see on this picture
The path I use to walk.
View of the centre of town. I took the bus home from town. This was an interesting and exciting walk.
