Trip to Norway 6

Boat trip on Hurtigruten
MS Midnatsol

 
2011-08-19. Happy me on the Hurtigruten boat MS Midnatsol. The whole trip is about 7 days and follows the Norwegian coast from Bergen at south to Kirkenes at north.

We did a 4 hours trip form Geiranger to Ålesund. We did not sleep on the boat. We only were there on a daytrip.

In the year 1977 I also was on a trip on Hurtigruten. Then we were in the Trollfjord near Lofoten, a group of islands. Then we had better weather as in 2011.

On this picture I have my old Fjällräven Greenland jacket on. I have saved this jacket as a memory. I had many hiking adventures in that jacket.
2011-08-19. Here I'm writing in my journal on the boat.
2011-08-19. The boat could not go to the harbour in Geiranger. We had to go with a taxi boat to Hurtigruten.
2011-08-19. And we got aboard on the side of Hurtigruten and not on the head gangway. Here I'm just aboard. Blurry picture but I like to have it here.

2011-08-19. I felt so happy. This was the dream trip I had been longing for such a long time. And now my dream came through! :)
