The wolf and
other animals

The highlight of the summer. Part 2

2011-08-30.  Me and a wolf in the background.
The wolf pack was  a new generation. And the were so shy and did not show up so much. This wolf was rushing and I just go this shot of him.
This picture was taken 2006.  The old wolf pack did show up better.
Two more wolves of the old wolf pack. Taken 2007.
2011-08-30.  Here I am standing on the Vilhelmina road (Vilhelminavägen) and pointing at the sign post with the name. Vilhelmina is a town and this road is going to that town. In former times it was spelled: "Wilhelmina" with W. Like my name is. The zoo is in the background.
We had to walk about 20 minutes from the railroad station to the zoo. Then we saw a squirrel by the road.
The squirrel went to a garden and seemed to like the mushrooms.
After that the squirrel ran away.
There were many mushrooms round different trees.
We also foun this beautiful fly agaric. (Amanita muscaria)
Ove on a bench by the entrance of the zoo. Real cool with these "Bear benches.
Me waiting until the zoo will open.
The pond there the grey seals are.
It was beautiful with the trees reflecting in the water.
The seal was looking curious at us.
Swimming seal.
Another picture of the beautiful pond.
Such a cute face.
Ove and the seal have a little talk.
This is the Santa house. At Christmas the Children can visit Santa in this house.
A snow white duck.
Another duck.
The geese were resting. On goose was watching.
Another picture of the geese.
In all these years we never saw the otter. But now we saw it's head peeping out by the grass. But we never could see the whole animal.
A plate of glass was reflecting when the sun came. Near the red arrow you can see it's head.
Me walking in the zoo.
The hill to the bear cage is steep. It was easier to go on the staircase.
In this cage they have the male bears. We had to climb another steep hill to come to the top and see the bears down below.
On our way uphill we saw beautiful fly agaric's
In fairy tales there are small brownies living in the toadstool. The cap of is the roof of their house.
I like these very much.

The cubs liked it to play by the water.
And liked to play in the water.

The mother still watching her cubs.
Cute
Here the cub was looking at us.
Playing
Begging for food.
No bear cub we may not give you food. You have to wait for the zoo keeper.
This bear cub was looking at Ove.
Looking and begging. But he did not get anything.
Time for lunch. We had hamburger.
Ove in the restaurant by the zoo.
A ram.

This piggy is a wild boar.
Goats.
The goat had eaten all the leaves.
Another goat.
Ove walking uphill in the zoo. This hill was not as steep as the one by the bears.

A little farm for the children.
Goats in the children farm.
This goat looked so funny.
Peek-a-boo! :)
Ove by the wolverine cage.
The zoo keeper feeding wolverine.
The wolverine.
A real strange animal.
This year we saw something we never seen before.
The wolverine was climbing up in a pine. The pine is not so near the fence and there is a little roof on the top of the fence so the wolverine cannot escape.
Climbing higher.
And higher.
We had to move on and saw a rooster by the path.
The hens and rooster were allowed to go free in the zoo.
A hen and a rooster.
The goats liked it to stand on the top of a rock.
Baaaaaa!
This moose is fake.
This spider is fake too. Under the spider is a big net made of rope. And the children can climb in the net.
A lynx.
The lynx got food from the zoo keeper.
.
.
The male lynx was very shy and rushing to the food and took it with him
The female was not so sky.
Eating.
The children farm.
The wild boars
It started raining a little. I had my cover on my backpack and my hood on. But I did not need my poncho in the zoo.
He, he, they still had Christmas decoration by the gift shop in the zoo :-)
When we had paid for the zoo we got a little stamp on our hand. It was a bear head. Real cute.
It was time to go to the bus station. We left the zoo. Then suddenly the rain went pouring down.  I needed my poncho this day too.
Glad it did not happen in the zoo. But we had to walk in 20 minutes in the rain to the bus.
Me in the bus station. With my poncho that I needed for the rain in the late afternoon. In my other hand the soft hooded cardigan that  I needed under my jacket when it was cold in the morning.
Foxy and the real  fox, he, he, he, :-)
