Rödluvan in the snow
Part 32
Snowing like crazy
New Years Day 2010-01-01

My jacket can stand snow and wind.

This picture is taken some years ago and may illustrate this site. I want to tell about the first day in 2010. Than it was snowing like crazy and soon we were snowed in.

The snow by the entrance of the house.
The little parking lot and the street in the distance.
A house cross the street in the snow. A grey cat is living in that house. The family also has a sweet little dog.
A closer picture of the house in the snow. Tele photo lens.
Another house cross the street.
The house there I'm living. The ground apartments are snowed in.
Our street in the snow. The snow plow had not been there yet.
Another house in our street in the snow.
I call this house for Gingerbread Cookie House.
The street and the bus stop. The house behind the bus stop is hidden in the snow.
It was snowing all the time while I took these pictures. It was real tough to be out.
The yard in the snow.

You can't walk to the other side over the yard. There was about 65 centimetre snow.

Snow on the roof of the trash house.

Snowed in bike house.
If you wanted to go to the other houses cross the yard you had to walk by the garages there they plowed away the snow.
The garages in the snow.
This is a an arbour with a roof. But you can't go there now. The pour lilac bushed are buried in the snow.
The windows were snowed in too.
A road to the other garages. Not plowed yet.
Still snowing like crazy.
Garage in the snow and the snow could fall down from the roof. That is dangerous, the snow is heavy.
The garages in the snow.
Another picture of the snowed in arbour.
And more snow came down.
Here you can see better how it was snowing.
My sleeve with snow.
The small storing houses looked like it were vacation cottages in the mountains.
The playground. But the swings were under the snow
This mountain of plowed snow is higher and the  bike house.
The little Norway spruce in the distance is almost under the snow.
Our street.
Our street. It was very hard for me to walk in the snow and wind and take pictures. But I was exited to get these pictures.
I took this picture from the kitchen window. The bike is almost gone under the snow.
Two people in the snow. Taken from the kitchen window.
Snowed in cars. Taken from the kitchen window.
Trash house, 2 people and 2 dogs. Taken from the kitchen window.
The street we can see from the kitchen window.
The radio told to stay home and not go and drive on the roads in the country this day.
But there were some who drove on plowed roads in town. There are people who need to work even though it was New Years Day.
Our window was snowed in again.
I put on the oven and made baked salmon, a white sauce, boiled potatoes and peas.
It was wonderful to sit by the table and enjoy the food after I had been out in the cold. And the food tasted delicious.

Do you feel hungry now ;)
