Rödluvan in the snow
Part 52
Reindeer at Gammlia
2010-03-08

Me and 2 reindeer in the woods by Gammlia. The Sami came with their reindeer to Gammlia.
This is the reindeer Galbek.
 This is the reindeer Namatis.
They made a wooden reindeer and then the children could throw the lasso on it. Like the Sami does with real reindeer.
Sami forest house. This was already there in 2010.
Inside the forest house.
A storing house for food.
A South Sami house.
A North Sami house.
Inside the North Sami house. This was a more modern cabin with a stove. It has 3 windows.
The path in the woods. It was very slippery and they plowed the path and put sand and grit on them, so the people could go to the Sami camp.
Sami shoes made of reindeer skin.
I was hungry and bought a sandwich with smoked reindeer and boiled coffee.
The two reindeer in the woods.
The two reindeers in the woods.
The Sami cooked over the open fire.
Time for lunch. I had souvas soup, bread and lingon berry juice.
Galbek.
Namatus.
A Sami took a picture of me, but the reindeer Namatus was not showing up fine. LOL :-)
I pet Namatus. But the photo was taken just before I pet him.
Namatus was tired.
Somebody was feeding Galbek with lichen.
The reindeer was sticking his tongue out. LOL :-D
The place in the woods there the reindeer and Sami were. There is a Sami tent in the woods too.
The Sami is baking Sami bread named Ghakku.
The house was snowed in.
Reindeer meat and bread named  ghakku. I bought smoked reindeer meat at Gammlia from Rensame. It was delicious. The bread was bought in the bakery at Gammlia.
Things I bought at the museum and from the Sami. They showed wonderful Sami handcraft at the museum.
